Who we are
Digital Drive Advisory Ltd, company number 16974580, registered in England and Wales, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
For anything about your data, email enquiries@digitaldriveadvisory.com.
What we collect
- Business contact details: names, job titles, work email addresses and business phone numbers of people at companies we work with or contact.
- Payment data you send us: trade or payment confirmations and payment exports, which contain dates, times, amounts, currencies and rates, and may include names of payees or staff.
- Correspondence: emails and notes of calls with you.
We never ask for, and don't want, online banking logins, passwords or full account access.
Where it comes from
- From you, when you contact us or send us payment data.
- From public sources, such as Companies House and HMRC's published trade data, and from business contact data providers, when we identify companies that may benefit from our service.
How we use it and why we're allowed to
- To carry out the review you've asked for, including the free check. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing our contract with you.
- To contact businesses about our service. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in offering a relevant service to businesses. We only contact people in their business role, we screen phone numbers against the Telephone Preference Service and Corporate Telephone Preference Service, and you can ask us to stop at any time.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal data or share it with banks or currency providers. We use a small number of service providers to run our business, such as email, secure file storage and contact data services, under contracts that require them to protect it. We don't send your payment data to market data providers; we compare your figures with their rates on our side.
How long we keep it
- Payment data you send us: deleted within 90 days of finishing the work, unless you ask us to keep it longer, for example for an ongoing quarterly review.
- Business contact details of people we've contacted: up to 12 months after last contact, or until you ask us to stop.
- Client records needed for accounting: as long as the law requires, usually six years.
How we protect it
Files are shared through secure upload links rather than email attachments where possible, stored with access limited to the people doing your review, and protected with two-factor authentication. We're happy to sign your non-disclosure agreement before you send anything.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to stop contacting you. Email us and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
